Searching for the causes

Many troubles such as accidents and disasters result from and are indirectly or directly triggered by human mistakes and omissions. Those kinds of human actions are known to be related to such factors as the management style, the nature of the organization, work methods and work environment, machinery and equipment, and society.
Human Factor Analysis Group conducts, with prevention and elimination of repeated accidents in mind, empirical research concerning, among others, analysis methods and techniques to help the analysis of these accidents.
This group conducts also research concerning education for preventing human error and basic research from the perspective of human factor analysis.
